This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from one of our US Aon offices.

What the day will look like

The Senior Vice President (SVP), Pharmacy Consulting is a senior leader who guides the growth of our pharmacy advisory business. They develop our strategic roadmap and improve the efficiency of our pharmacy consulting services. This role combines sales leadership, people management, executive client sponsorship, and thought leadership on Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) offerings and market dynamics. The SVP will also assist in education efforts for our health consultants to deliver coordinated, outstanding solutions.

Sales & Growth Leadership

  • Partner with sales and health leadership on go‑to‑market plans, pipeline development, and RFP/finalist presentations.
  • Support pharmacy project growth by delivering best in class consulting support, managing to scope requirements and building broader relationships
  • Support Core Health sales efforts as part of a broader team of consultants where the SVP will present as a subject matter expert on pharmacy

Client & Account Leadership

  • Serve as executive sponsor on a portfolio of clients, including large and complex accounts.
  • Build and sustain executive‑level relationships (HR, Finance, Procurement, Clinical, C‑suite).
  • Lead all aspects of delivery quality and coordinate cross‑functional teams to provide integrated pharmacy solutions across core health and all Innovation and Integrated Solutions.
  • Lead teams on building multi-year strategic roadmaps for clients rooted in market knowledge paired with an understanding of client benefits philosophy.

Strategy & Offer Development

  • Define and refine the strategic roadmap for pharmacy consulting, aligned with broader health and benefits strategy.
  • Identify emerging trends (e.g., PBM models, specialty drugs, biosimilars, gene therapies, regulatory shifts) and translate them into differentiated offerings and frameworks.
  • Partner with product, analytics, and operations to advance tools, methodologies, and partnerships.

Thought Leadership & POV Development

  • Lead creation of points of view on PBM offerings, contracting structures, clinical strategies, and market changes.
  • Represent the firm through client forums, conferences, publications, and webinars.
  • Convert sophisticated market dynamics into practical insights for clients and internal teams.

People Leadership & Consultant Education

  • Lead, develop, and mentor pharmacy consultants.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, high‑accountability culture.
  • Support the build and deliver training, playbooks, and toolkits to educate health consultants on PBM offerings, contract levers, and market dynamics.
  • Ensure pharmacy insights are embedded in comprehensive health and benefits strategies.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Ten plus years of pharmacy consulting experience.
  • Viewed as an industry leader with expertise in pharmacy benefits.
  • Deep knowledge negotiating and running consulting engagements.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and clients with dynamic and shifting timelines.
  • Account Management, Market Research, Sales Performance, Customer Engagement, Customer Satisfaction, Advanced Product Knowledge

Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline or equivalent years of industry experience.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $300,000 to $345,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
