Senior Account Executive III, Power & Renewables – Aon Global Natural Resources

Are you energized by the transition to a low‑carbon future? Do you want to sit at the center of the global Power & Renewables market, advising some of the world's most sophisticated utilities and renewables companies on their most complex risks? If so, this could be the role for you!

Join Aon's industry‑leading Global Natural Resources team as a Senior Account Executive III focused on Power & Renewables, and help our clients make better decisions in an era of unprecedented change.

Aon is in the business of better decisions

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better—to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. We are united through trust as one inclusive team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What the day will look like

In this role, you will be the strategic quarterback for a portfolio of major Power & Renewables clients. You will:

  • Own and grow key client relationships, engaging directly with senior decision-makers while remaining a trusted, day‑to‑day partner for client teams.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end renewal process, assembling and guiding cross‑functional Aon teams to craft and implement tailored renewal strategies.
  • Partner closely with Brokers to design and deliver innovative risk transfer and placement strategies that reflect current and emerging market dynamics.
  • Orchestrate critical relationships between clients, Aon account and risk services teams, and insurers to drive differentiated outcomes.
  • Ensure the client service team deeply understands each client's business, risk profile, and goals—and that our service model and economic framework are aligned to them.
  • Lead stewardship planning and delivery, clearly demonstrating the value Aon brings through insights, outcomes, and execution.
  • Manage overall account profitability, taking a value‑based approach to scope, pricing, and the Client Service Standards
  • Structure and negotiate Aon's compensation for services, whether fee‑ or commission‑based, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Educate clients on risk management and risk transfer options, market conditions, and key trends in the Power & Renewables landscape, supported by benchmarking and analyzer data.
  • Mobilize the right Aon experts and resources when clients face unusual or high‑severity situations, such as major claims or new project developments.
  • Collaborate across geographies (including international markets), functions, and business divisions to build coordinated solutions and capture growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate invoicing and receivables for assigned clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and a high‑quality client experience.

How this opportunity is different

This is a high‑impact, visible role at the intersection of global power, infrastructure, and risk. You will:

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for some of Aon's most important Power & Renewables clients.
  • Lead and mentor cross‑disciplinary client service teams to deliver outstanding service and unlock new value for clients.
  • Play a strategic role in helping clients navigate the energy transition, new technologies, evolving regulatory pressures, and increasingly sophisticated risk landscapes.
  • Build and grow a profitable book of business, with room to innovate on service, structure, and solutions in partnership with Aon's broader Global Natural Resources platform.

Through strategic advice, differentiated service, and compelling insight, you will showcase the full power of Aon to our clients—and help define what “best in class” looks like in the Power & Renewables sector.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 10–15+ years of Property & Casualty (P&C) experience, with a strong track record serving complex, multinational clients.
  • Deep experience managing large, sophisticated accounts in the Power, Renewables, and/or broader Natural Resources sector.
  • Proven ability to lead client relationship strategy, drive growth, and manage profitability across a portfolio of accounts.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Sharp critical thinking and executive‑level communication skills; able to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives for a range of stakeholders.
  • High level of digital fluency, including advanced use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfort with data‑driven insights.
  • Active Property & Casualty license required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent years of relevant industry experience.
