Job Description
The Ivantage Business Insurance Specialist (BIS) specialist is Allstate internal commercial sales team that consists of licensed sales professionals that provide excellent customer experiences for small business owners looking for insurance solutions to protect their commercial business. This is done through outbound and inbound calls and follow-up emails. The sales professional quotes insurance solutions to the prospect on the agents behalf and then works directly with the agents prospect to close the sale. The sales specialist quotes solutions through Allstate or through our wholly owned, broker subsidiary, Ivantage.
By providing a superior customer experience through effective telephone and written communication techniques, the sales professional discovers the customer needs while building a customer relationship. They are proficient at delivering the sales proposal based upon the unique needs of the business owner and responsible for closing the insurance sale. Since this role supports agents and customers from all over the US, the Core Business Insurance Sales specialists are licensed in property & casualty and can be licensed in up to all 50 states.
Bilingual Spanish speakers preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Attempt to cross-sell additional policies and lines of business to increase sales and customer retention
Proficiently leverage resources and carrier underwriting guidelines as needed to complete an accurate assessment of the business risk and provide an accurate business insurance quote
Deliver an exceptional customer sales experience from the initial customer contact to the sale of the policy
Resolve complex business insurance sales inquires
Communicate effectively with a business owner to understand the risks that face the business and how insurance products may assist them in managing those risks
Answer inquiries that require an insurance license, including inquiries related to coverage, coverage limits, deductibles, and various insurance policy options
As an inside Commercial Sales Specialist, you will utilize technology to manage sales workflow to provide regular communication and follow up with the business owners, other stakeholders, and the agent of record that referred the lead
Leverage selling techniques to successfully close sale and bind the business insurance policy
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of specific carrier products, underwriting guidelines, and market direction, to be a trusted advisor in meeting the customers insurance needs
Multitask between open customer opportunities and navigating various quoting systems to present a solution for the customer
Education
4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
Experience
3 or more years of experience (Preferred)
Supervisory Responsibilities

Compensation offered for this role is 21.23 - 29.20 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
