SUMMARY
Responsible for meeting individual sales goals and new business targets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifies new leads and gathers the necessary information for submissions;
Develops, presents and sells new business proposals to appropriate prospects;
Gathers necessary information; develops, delivers and sells renewal proposals;
Performs periodic service calls on all accounts and provides or coordinates customer service as requested;
Sells additional coverage to existing customers;
Facilitates joint sales calls and the sharing of lead information among departmental members;
Attends and actively participates in regular sales meetings;
Participates in the overall agency effort to develop and maintain strong company relationships through positive professional contacts with company representatives;
Achieves annual sales goals and provides regular feedback to the Managing Director on progress toward those goals;
Achieves educational and professional development goals established by agency management;
Maintains a professional demeanor and actively supports and promotes a positive public image for the agency;
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Insurance or Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
One (1) or more years insurance industry experience
Valid Insurance License
Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
