E&S DISTRIBUTION ADVISOR
E&S Distribution Advisor will work directly with our excess & surplus brokers, providing support in areas such as book management, basic underwriting support and training while generating sales according to company goals for this segment of business.

Responsibilities
Duties include:
- Ongoing product and procedural training and support for a rapidly growing excess & surplus lines broker base with the objective of meeting predetermined goals for production
- Encouraging production from individual brokers while monitoring the quality of business based upon the company appetite and product line
- Assisting brokers with meeting their goals and benchmarks in submissions, premium and loss ratio
- Working closely with E&S team in both Distribution and Underwriting with the objective of meeting segment goals
- Educating brokers about GUARD's underwriting appetite, submissions procedures, and interactive Agency Service Center web site as it pertains to E&S segment
- Responding to a wide range of agency problems, assisting in agency appointments, and providing ongoing training to new and existing brokers, including broad-based webinars to small and large broker audiences
- Communicating with Underwriting and assisting brokers with basic Underwriting questions and concerns
- Attendance at and scheduling of regular meeting with all disciplines and broker to discuss book of business
- General housekeeping tasks related to maintaining accurate broker file
In addition, this role will be responsible for seeking out opportunities to grow premium with each broker according to the company's specific goals for excess & surplus lines. The E&S Distribution Advisor will be responsible for growth & profitability management and production discussions.
Contacts are made primarily by telephone and through email. Travel may be required but will be minimal.
QualificationsTo provide the high level of service required of this position, there must be a basic understand of philosophies of underwriting, claims handling, and direct bill and account current payment procedures in the insurance industry and how it relates to Excess & Surplus lines. They are also required to have significant knowledge and understanding of the various commercial and personal lines insurance products offered by the company in a wide range of market conditions, as well as fluency in the use of GUARD's system and productivity software.
