Looking for a change? AssuredPartners of Missouri has an exciting career opportunity for a Employee Benefits Account Manager in Warrensburg, Missouri. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to pivot into insurance – an established and stable industry.

It is a hybrid role with 4 in-office days and 1 remote day.

The Employee Benefits Account Manager works within our Employee Benefits Team and assists in day to day client support in our employee benefits department. This is an office setting (not call center). You'll be actively managing the benefits marketing process with our carriers, processing eligibility requests, and client support and retention.

Previous experience within an insurance brokerage, insurance carrier, or human resources position working with employee benefits, are a few roles that would translate well to this position. A Life and Health License is preferred.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the marketing process, obtain approved census from client, market per instructions.
  • Process eligibility requests.
  • Provide customer service support to resolve employee claims questions and issues regarding their health and welfare coverages.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to all types of employee benefit programs for client employees, including group medical, dental, vision, life, disability, Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), and retirement accounts.
  • Resolve client employee issues and concerns through customer service.
  • Reviewing for accuracy, processing client information into client systems.
  • Support in client retention by maintaining a positive image with the client.
  • Assists in the development of strong business relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel.
  • Answer incoming questions about insurance policies and insurance coverage issues.
  • Keep track of customer inquiries and follow up to verify that all questions are answered regarding customer policies.
  • Address client concerns, present appropriate solutions, and alternatives within the timeframes set, and follow up to ensure that the issue has been resolved.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

  • Desire to learn & grow with us
  • Previous Employee Benefits experience a plus
  • Willingness to obtain appropriate Life and Health license, with our support. Current Life and Health license preferred
  • Strong organization and written/verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated customer service focus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar systems, including spreadsheets, email, word processing, and presentation software
