About the Role

Unique organizations face unique risks typically not covered by traditional insurance policies. As a Business Development Lead for this specialty carrier, you will have available to you a broad portfolio of products including catastrophic accident medical expense insurance, participant accident insurance, student accident insurance, amateur sports accident insurance, travel insurance, and accidental death & dismemberment insurance to meet your MGU distribution partner’s needs.

The Business Development Lead develops, reviews, evaluates, and manages complex A&H Specialty programs from Managing General Underwriters.  This includes assessing risk and setting underwriting parameters for MGUs/Program Managers including both rates and coverage levels.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain producer/program relationships
  • Evaluate complex A&H new business opportunities/programs
  • Work with operations to on-board new MGUs/Programs and/or modify existing MGUs/Programs

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years Accident and Health experience with an insurance carrier or an MGU/Program Manager
  • 5+ years experience working with and overseeing MGAs/MGUs or Program Managers
  • Market knowledge of Leisure Travel, Sports, Leisure and Entertainment, First Responders and Volunteer Organizations, and Occupational Accident/Non-Subscriber
  • Product expertise with Accident Medical Expense, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Out of Country Medical Insurance, Trip Cancellation/Interruption

Compensation, Benefits, & Perks
