Responsibilities

  • The Director, North Central Region Distribution Management will be responsible for working with the Central Region AVP on the development and implementation of distribution goals for KS,KY, IL, IN, MI, MN, MO, ND, OH, SD and WI.
  • Oversee a team of 5 Field Sales Representatives. Provide continuous coaching, development, and mentorship for the field team. This will include regular joint travel with the field staff throughout the region.
  • Together with Field Representatives, work to strengthen our partnerships with a focus on profitability and increasing share of wallet in target industry segments.
  • Actively participate in management of key relationships in the region.
  • Attend state and agency group conferences to increase BHG visibility.
  • Complete annual territory analysis and define goals and objectives for each field representative and territory in the region.
  • Continuously gather competitive intelligence and share with your team, peers, and other relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to pricing committee meetings. The Regional Sales Director will provide feedback as requested from Home office by line of business and state.
  • Develop strong working relationships with key people in product management, underwriting, and other relevant departments.
Qualifications

  • 5 years of leadership experience
  • 10 years of insurance marketing or sales experience.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of the Northeast Region, market conditions, competitors, and independent agency distribution channel.
  • Strong technical expertise in marketing Workers Compensation, BOP, Commercial Auto and Umbrella would be beneficial.
  • Must be able to work independently and have excellent technical skills, including knowledge and experience working with a variety of computer programs.
  • Ability to travel; this position requires frequent travel by both car and air. 50% of the time within the region and to home office (PA) as needed.
  • Self-starter who can take initiative in establishing and meeting goals while working from his or her home.
  • Lives in the Midwest Region.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
