Sales Development Specialist

About the Role

New MGA launch transforming insurance into a positive, risk-preventing force for small businesses seeks Business Development/Sales insurance professional for their rapidly growing team. As a Sales Development Specialist you are responsible for sourcing and developing high quality leads with prospective retail agents and converting them to a successful appointment. This position will help drive sales strategies as they evolve from a startup into a multi-line, countrywide underwriting organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Research and recruit prospective agents
• Conduct follow-up activities including demos, meetings, and otherwise supporting the agent’s needs
• Attend industry events to professionally promote company to new potential trading partners
• Maintain a high-level view of offerings, thoroughly understanding the underwriting guidelines and customer service standards to attract quality agents

Skills & Experience

• At least 1 year of business development/sales experience within commercial property casualty insurance
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Detail oriented, with strong accompanying written and oral communication skills

Compensation

$65,000 to $85,000
