Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

$58,600.00 - $96,800.00

What Is the Opportunity?

National Accounts Finance is seeking a highly motivated financial consultant to join our TPA (Third Party Administrator) Data Quality team. Under moderate supervision, this individual will be responsible for processing excess loss reimbursements and all related activity for the National Accounts unbundled book. Under Moderate Supervision, responsible for conducting and documenting moderately complex financial/ accounting/expense analysis assignments. Maintain high standard of day-to-day execution, i.e. ownership of work assignments, and accurate and timely financial information to our internal and external business partners.
Position does not manage others.
This position follows a hybrid work model and requires minimum of three days in the office.

What Will You Do?

  • Complete timely and accurate monthly tie out of Specialty Group Captive excess losses by account and confirm the balances with the respective analysts; collaborate with; analysts, TPA Data Operations and TPA's to resolve any identified discrepancies. 
  • Take ownership of, and accountability for, assigned programs, which include - monthly individual risk reimbursement and timely prefunding.
  • Complete any assigned ledger account reconciliation monthly, ensuring accuracy and timeliness and obtain proper review and sign off.
  • Create loss funding memos monthly and work with the claim adjusters to get them approved and posted in a timely manner.
  • Partner & collaborate with other disciplines (claims, ETM, underwriting, Loss DB, etc.) as well as outside parties (TPA's and insureds) to foster strong relationships.
  • Perform TPA bank account reconciliations completeness and accuracy
  • Other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred.
  • Typically 2+ years of related experience.
  • General knowledge of Financial Analysis concepts and processes.
  • Working knowledge of the insurance business.
  • Intermediate analytic skills.
  • Working knowledge of accounting practices and principles.
  • Intermediate data utilization skills to access and gather data, including a basic understanding of what the data represents.
  • Intermediate written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate time management/ prioritization skills.
  • Basic ability to solve problems and suggest solutions to problems.
  • Takes responsibility for decisions and actions.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Intermediate project management skills.
  • Ability to identify customers needs and take appropriate action to meet those needs.
  • Ability to work well in tight timeframes and deadlines.
  • Intermediate skill/competency level: demonstrates solid knowledge and ability; can apply the competency with minimal or no guidance, in the full range of typical situations. Requires guidance handling novel or more complex situations.
