This role will lead the distribution efforts of the Independent agency channel (IA) and has direct supervisory/development responsibility for the field vice presidents (FVP s). This leader must comprehend the overall corporate sales strategy and effectively develop and implement a strategic business plan to meet these objectives. The position is also responsible for recruiting, developing, leading and managing the FVP s.Key Responsibilities:
Works with senior IA channel distribution leaders and Allstate financial home office to translate strategic business plan into clear objectives, tactics, and specific action plans for the team to achieve goals
Responsible for meeting or exceeding individual goals as well as the National Sales Plan for the AB IA channel
Responsible for the development of direct reports
Partners with EVP, AB distribution as well as the national sales director for both the EA channel and the national sales channel to develop the strategic business plan
Works with other senior leaders to develop succession plans and mentoring programs
Builds and maintains a collaborative working relationship across all Allstate Benefits functional areas and proactively shares information to ensure a common vision and partnership in support of profitable growth objectives
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; may also have advanced degree
10 or more years of related experience
Professional designations, such as CEBS, CLU and/or ChFC are desiredFunctional Skills:
Strong distribution leadership experience, knowledge, and skills
Advanced knowledge of the products and services offered by Allstate benefits
Advanced knowledge of individual and group products as well as payroll allotment and section 125
Knowledge of all aspects of sales process and drivers (shop, buy, cross-sell, retain, profitability, etc.)
Understanding of pricing, claims, contract provisions, support resources, agency systems, financial analysis, sales trend analysis and marketing data
Planning and organizational skills
Ability to negotiate and influence others
Compensation offered for this role is$177,600.00-$244,200.00 per yearand is based on experience and qualifications.
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
