Primary Purpose:Responsible for recruiting agents within an assigned RSD territory. ASM will take direction from Regional Sales Director and perform broad-based recruiting, training and maintaining of agents in assigned territory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
- Engage new producers and agencies and establish a deck of agents
- Consult with and aggregate agent activities to share successes around the organization (intel gathering)
- Recruit agents in large geographic area
- Enhance ability to respond to market opportunities and target carriers and products by providing service and support to territory-based agencies and agents
- Consistently maintain KEAP CRM to manage and promote agent contact
- Create excitement about National General products via contact through primarily the face-to-face meetings and telephone but also flyers, postcards, e-mails etc.
- Provide territory training on applicable processes and products as needed
- Travel extensively mostly within assigned territory (50%+)

- Bachelors Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
- 2+ years of sales and marketing experience within an Insurance industry or related field
- A&H Sales Health and Life license or ability to acquire within 60 days of hire
- Previous Sales position experience
- Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Must possess above average verbal and written communication skills
- Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization.
- Proven ability to be persuasive, clearly communicate, and multi-task
- Valid U.S. State-issued drivers license required
- Must be able to travel frequently by land and air

Compensation offered for this role is$50,000 per yearand is based on experience and qualifications.
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
