Lighthouse, an Alera Group Company is seeking a  Medicare and Individual Health Benefits Senior Sales Representative to join their Individual Benefits team.


 The Senior Producer will be responsible for growing top-line revenue in their Medicare and Individual Health Insurance book of business while supporting the growth of strategic carrier partnerships for Lighthouse. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Relationships, this role will work closely with other Producers on the Production Team to drive revenue growth for the organization. Additional responsibilities include account retention, up-selling, and account rounding. This position requires professional attentive interaction with Lighthouse carrier representatives, business partners, and colleagues.

  • Develop new clients from referrals, outbound calls, and networking.
  • Create insurance proposals tailored to fit a client's unique needs by appropriately determining carrier placement as well as coverages.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously – calendar appointments, task lists, and emails.
  • Meet, or exceed, annual sales goals as established with the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Vice President of Sales.
  • Actively engage in mentor/mentee relationship with Producers to ensure team goals are achieved.
  • Properly onboard clients by providing a thorough introduction to policy service resources as well as the Account Management team.
  • Consistently complete necessary pipeline and production-related reports.
  • Drive inclusive, accountable, motivating sales culture through individual actions and goal achievement.
  • Actively participate in sales meetings to promote team-selling and knowledge sharing.
  • Effectively communicate the capabilities of Lighthouse Group to prospects and clients to promote cross-selling.
  • Understand and support the execution of Lighthouse Group initiatives, policies, and programs.
  • Work in good faith toward the achievement of organizational objectives and goals.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships through social engagement.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in Medicare and Individual Health Benefits
  • Ability to Produce new annual revenue of $80,000 annually
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse individuals
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Obtain and maintain Michigan Life & Health Insurance License
  • Complete annual CMS and Individual Marketplace certifications and applicable carrier certifications
