Commercial Sales Specialist (Insurance)
To work within a sales region promoting the effective sales and servicing of commercial property/casualty (P/C) insurance markets. To create and maintain a comprehensive program of sales and service in the commercial P/C markets within a sales region. To work with and maintain the relationship with a group of Multi-Line Agents, which are agreed upon by Managing Partners and Statewide Sales Directors, in concert with our Commercial Marketing Partner teams across the state.RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform a wide variety of functional activities intended to increase the production and service efficiency of those Farm Bureau Insurance agents working in the commercial P/C markets, and to motivate and encourage more agents to enter those markets.
Direct sales assistance to agents within the sales region by providing prospecting and fact-finding help, fact analysis recommendations, proposal preparation, joint sales calls, and closing and installation of cases.
Promote commercial P/C sales within the sales region by conducting and participating in partnership meetings.QUALIFICATIONS
Required: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, insurance, or finance required. Minimum three to five years commercial sales or underwriting experience required. Must possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred: Designation in CIC preferred.
Note: This is a work from home position primarily covering these Michigan counties: Mecosta, Isabella, Montcalm, Gratiot, Ionia, Clinton, Shiawassee, Eaton, Ingham, Calhoun, Jackson, Branch, Hillsdale, Lenawee.
*This position is salary plus commission, including a company vehicle and additional expense support. Commissions are paid for placed commercial policies using a CSS comp schedule. The CSS will work with agents on commercial cases as a resource for those agents.
