We are looking for a Risk Analyst (or ERM Analyst) to join AIGI to play a key role in the dynamic and growing ERM Team. The main purpose of this role is to further develop the existing risk framework to provide value adding insight and analysis of the risks impacting AIGI.

You will work closely with Actuarial, Legal, Finance, Corporate Underwriting as well as other departments within AIGI on a wide-ranging number of projects. You will handle many regular analyses as well as lead or assist in ad hoc projects.


Job Responsibilities

  • Risk Strategy and Risk Appetite
  • Support the development of the risk strategy and the risk appetite framework, developing statements and metrics to measure the current level of risk
  • Risk Management Framework
  • Take a key role in the day-to-day operation of the AIGI Risk Management Framework
    • Be responsible for partnering with specific business functions to support the embedding of the framework
    • Support stakeholders in identifying risks and conducting risk and control assessments in these area
    • Appropriately escalate relevant risk issues and work to support remediation
  • Work with the Chief Risk Officer to ensure the Framework stays up to date and reflects evolving best practice
    • Ensure the framework remains compliant with regulation and legislation
    • Develop the framework to ensure it remains complete, consistent and is well-embedded
    • Further develop risk management tools and analysis to support risk assessment and reporting
    • Support the stress and scenario testing and emerging risks processes
    • Draft risk policies and communicate these to stakeholders
  • Work with business functions and the ERM team to contribute the ‘risk view' to key projects
    • Support the operation of the climate change and ESG frameworks
    • Conduct ‘deep dives' and thematic reviews in specific areas
  • Risk Reporting
  • Develop, maintain and embed risk and control reporting to internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to the completion of the annual ORSA reports
  • Aggregate and complete annual cyber regulatory filings
  • Take responsibility for completing regular internal risk reports
  • Attend & take meeting minutes at relevant working groups and committees
  • Business Resiliency/Business Continuity Planning
  • Work with Global Business Resiliency Team on Group minimum standards, required documentation and policies and procedures
  • Work closely with AIGI IT DR staff on Business Impact Analysis
  • Liaison to the departmental/location Recovery Team Leaders for the business continuity plans
  • Super-user for the BCM tool/portal, including providing assistance and support to users
  • Develop and support annual BCP testing
  • Attend & take meeting minutes at relevant working groups and committees
Required Skills/Experience

  • Insurance market experience or knowledge
  • Knowledge and/or experience of risk management frameworks
  • Up to date knowledge of the US regulatory environment
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to prioritize and challenge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS office applications

  • Strong academic background with a bachelor's degree in Risk Management or ERM (preferred)
