As a member of the Corporate Marketing team, the VP, of Regional Marketing and Sales Enablement will work closely with leadership in support of sales objectives and goals and deepen the engagement with over 130 local agency offices to help drive organic growth. This new role is an opportunity for a strong relationship builder and influencer to bring alignment across cross-functional teams within a fast-growing organization by asking relevant, thought-provoking questions, advocating for test and learn approaches, using data and metrics to make stronger marketing decisions, and monitoring ongoing impact to determine when the course needs to adjust. The VP, Regional Marketing and Sales Enablement will partner with Sales, IT, Marketing Strategy, and other Marketing Centers of Excellence, along with regional leaders and marketing leads across 8 regions to drive sales strategy, regional marketing strategy, and execution across the full client/prospect journey and experience, from awareness to consideration, conversion and retention.

  • Oversee development of regional marketing, resources, communications plans, and strategies that support the objectives of the Alera Group brand and national practices while being delivered on a regional and local market basis.
  • Provide primary oversight for various aspects of marketing “test and learn” programs within the regions. Track and analyze usage to measure the effectiveness of marketing vehicles, prepare regional metric dashboards and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide leadership to regional marketing managers and marketers in local offices in developing marketing, promotion, event, and web content specific to the region, as well as specific regional thought leadership opportunities.
  • Serve as a connector and catalyst for all regional marketers, uncovering best practices and establishing regional resources and subject matter experts for all regional offices to leverage.
  • In partnership with the internal communications team, develop and oversee an internal communications strategy that keeps regional team members in the know across national, regional, and local initiatives, programs, content, and news.
  • Provide strategic feedback and advice to national strategists around how national programs may work in the region and elevate regional opportunities that could be scaled for national benefit.
  • Develop and manage regional marketing leads to ensure effective plan and project scope, timeline, budget, and implementation with key stakeholders.
  • Develop strategies that equip sales teams with the content, tools, knowledge, and skills required to optimize client and prospect interactions.

  • Significant experience developing and delivering sales and marketing strategies across multiple channels (web, social, email, sales support, events, public relations, etc.). Bachelor's Degree (or higher).
  • Proven expertise as both a strategic thinker and a project manager, with the ability to synchronize the two.
  • Ability to drive strategic development and discussions, such as leading stakeholder workshops and program discoveries, challenging business stakeholders when tactical requests do not meet strategy or best practices, and drafting written strategies that document end-to-end analysis and full program plans.
  • Strong knowledge of sales and marketing processes, with experience working with CRM systems such as
  • B2B marketing experience preferred, Insurance and/or Employee Benefits experience a plus.
  • Record of success creating programs and strategies used across complex end-to-end client experiences.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, governance, and change control practices.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience and comfort operating in a matrixed organization, with the ability to lead initiatives and influence cross-functional participants beyond their span of control.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to sell ideas to cross-functional partners and present strategies to senior management.
  • Experience mentoring and managing teams
