Overview

The purpose of the Agency Operations Go To Market Planning Sr. Cons. IIis to develop long-term strategy along with processes and initiatives so agency owners can, provide customers with household solutions based on uncovering their needs and offering value-added advice. We collaborate with key partners to deliver solutions that achieve growth targets and increase efficiencies. We leverage data prioritize and support long-term strategy, define requirements, and test capabilities that are critical to helping agencies.

The Agency Operations Go to Market Planning team is responsible for supporting the development of launch strategy and driving necessary changes in the organization for key business initiatives. Help design and direct strategy development and necessary business requirements, including but not limited to the customer and agency facing sales processes, services, and technologies to achieve goals. Partners across the company to develop and support new initiatives to fully leverage the integrated distribution system. Support new initiatives to expand Allstates opportunity to grow and optimize investments. The ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and collaborate with internal and external partners will be important for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include a combination of the following based on team need:

Consulting

  • Assumes supporting role on projects working in Agile environments acts as go-to voice for Agency Distribution for local product team
  • Problem solves effectively as liaison to enterprise partners understands role of multiple business domains in product development and successfully creates solutions to achieve business goals in current landscape
  • Plays supporting role in socializing Enterprise and Agency Sales vision across departments and acts as steward for Agency Distribution
  • Assists with developing best practices pertinent to Agency Sales processes & deliverables that contribute to agency revenue generation

Product/Project Management

  • Consistently plans, implements, and assists in managing projects that are small to medium scale initiatives using accepted project management standards for both waterfall and agile projects
  • Forecasts short-term and long-term deliverables cross functionally using waterfall and agile best practices
  • Understands and assists with strategies to achieve plan objectives
  • Accountable for ensuring project milestones are on track and projects remain within expected budget
  • Assists in establishing and tracking plan performance
  • Understands and works to contribute to cost/ benefit analysis with support
  • Communicates and presents project information to project team and stakeholders
  • Coordinates/evaluates project controls by all impacted AORs
  • Assists in determining and enrolling resources/expertise that are necessary to successfully complete projects/ assignments from various AORs
  • Actively builds strong relationships among teams and team members to ensure cooperation on project objectives
  • Provides action alternatives for improvement as appropriate

Process and Product Design/Improvement

  • Assists with creating processes, concept designs and supporting tactics
  • Assists in assessing overall feasibility (financial, operational, technical)
  • Partners with Agency Sales leadership to develop measurements for success and KPIs
  • Partners with Agency Sales leadership to work on communication strategies and materials to support new plans, programs or processes
  • Solicits and integrates input from key stakeholders
  • Proactively evaluates procedures and processes regularly and determines/ recommends alternatives or improvements
  • Ensures processes are followed and applied consistently in their work
  • Evaluates and implements process improvements to internal and external compliance requirements/standards

Program Management Support

  • Helps with planning and coordinating the integration and delivery of planned changes/projects/ programs to zones/field
  • Anticipates recommendations to solve market specific implications of business strategies
  • Assures proper execution of regulatory/legislative practices for Distribution Implementation

Knowledge Management

  • Assists in training/coaching fellow team members or peers
  • Actively shares expertise among peers and other disciplines

Program & Process Communications

  • Delivers presentations to recommend change, explain a process/obtain approval, etc.
  • Answers inquiries requiring interpretation of Agency Sales Implementation process and requirements
  • Provides information by reporting to stakeholders and Leadership
  • Obtains approval on recommended program, policy, and procedure
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • High School Diploma required
  • 2-4 years of related experience (project management experience preferred)

Stays current with skills by continually seeking opportunities for learning and development within their respective discipline(s):

  • Leverages awareness of current industry standards/environment to impact decisions and indicate requirements
  • Serves as a subject matter expert and can consult on issues within their discipline(s) from an internal perspective
  • Relevant Technology background: experience writing business or technical requirements; experience with data analysis
  • Knowledge of products, program methodology, services, features and benefits
  • Technical understanding of processes, software applications and data analytics
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, time management and organizational skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Revises or adopts work processes to support change management
