Alera Group is currently seeking a IT Support Specialist- Tier 2

Alera Group is currently seeking a Tier 2 Support Specialist. The primary responsibilities for this position include closing intermediate helpdesk requests, being part of our project team, onboarding newly acquired firms, evaluating and installing new hardware and software, traveling to local offices in the region. The ideal candidate must be organized, energetic, have a strong customer service personality, be well versed and experienced in Windows environments including networking, and have Office 365 experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the coordination, scheduling, setup, installation and testing of new and existing employee's workstations and related IT equipment.
  • Responsible to provide end user support regarding deployment and setup of workstations, peripherals and mobile devices.
  • Ordering new equipment and maintaining accurate inventory
  • Develop and maintain workstation and software setup procedures to simplify new deployments and setups.
  • Handle Help Desk tickets related but not limited to new user setups and equipment deployments
Qualifications

Associates Degree in an IT related field and/or current IT certifications from Microsoft and CompTIA

3+ years' experience in a Desktop Support/Help Desk role

Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows 10 OS

Experience working with ticketing and remote device management solutions

Extensive experience with setup and deployment of desktops, laptops and end user peripherals

Strong Office365 experience with account and end user setup

Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP and VPN network technologies

Strong sense of customer support and customer service skills is required

Excellent communication skills

Be well organized and pay attention to detail

Think logically and have strong problem-solving abilities

Strong ability to write clear, detailed documentation

Be able to travel nationally to firms during implementation if necessary

Be on call and to respond to emergencies when needed

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

  • Regularly required sitting for prolonged periods of time. Standing, walking and reaching are required periodically.
  • Ability to lift, position and install IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and extending up to 6ft. in height.
