Insurance Sales Agent, Retail
$1,000 signing bonus!
Prior Sales experience preferred, but not required.
No overhead expense and no cap on the book.
Base Pay + Incentive pay for each new business policy sold, each renewal policy and each re-write policy.

Supports MAPFRE’s Retail Sales initiative by building and maintaining a book of business. Actively seek to establish and maintain an effective rapport with external/internal clients and prospects on behalf of the Company thru its various contact channels, by taking personal and complete responsibility for each customer interaction, and ensure that their requirements are met and monthly sales goals are achieved.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education: High School or equivalent knowledge or related experience.
Experience: 0 - 1 years.
Knowledge: Little knowledge of the detailed aspects of the job. Some understanding of practices and procedures in a particular field i.e. accounting, claims.
Decision Making: Makes decisions within position standards, generally applying defined guidelines and procedures. However, some interpretation may be required in dealing with exceptions, such as choosing from two or more pre-defined alternative courses of action.
Supervision Received: Works under general supervision. Typically does not receive instructions on routine work. Receives general instructions on new types of work or projects.
Leadership: Works as an individual contributor. May participate in training less experienced staff.
Problem Solving /Operations/Direct Work Involvement:
Client Contacts: Contacts other departments and or external organizations or parties frequently. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information on matters which may be sensitive and or complex to interpret.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Previous sales experience preferred
Spanish speaking required
Candidate should possess an entrepreneurial spirit.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on MAPFRE’s sales strategy.
Valid Personal Lines Producer license (preferred) or the ability to prepare and obtain said license within first 45 days of employment. Must be able to successfully complete continuing educational course(s) required to maintain agent license.
Proficiency in utilizing windows, MS Office and any lead/policy manage tool or platform that the Company considers essential to job functions.
