The VP, Divisional Manager (DVP) guides a team of sales professionals to meet or exceed production and quality targets. The DVP generates corporate revenue through achievement of new insurance written (NIW)/sales goals and supports the growth and retention of existing customers within geographically assigned territory. The DVP oversees and monitors the development, implementation and effectiveness of established account level strategic plans. The incumbent operates autonomously under general guidance from the SVP Regional Accounts.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Partners with lender clients to form knowledge driven relationships and ensures Arch US MI's products and services meet lender needs. Expertly handles complex customer issues through effective problem solving and negotiation.
  2. Guides sales team to achieve stated NIW goals and ensures that production, profitability and quality targets are met or exceeded. Analyzes territories and identifies business opportunities.
  3. Understands competitor strengths and weaknesses and how Arch US MI stands in comparison. Possesses a deep understanding of the differentiated impact of Arch US MI's offering on the customer's business and processes and ensures that team is clearly communicating Arch US MI value proposition to customers.
  4. Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge of company programs, products and services.
  5. Mentors and coaches AMs in the use of solution selling to sell a complex variety of products and services that will enhance business models of customers. Coaches and leads team to deliver optimal results through effectively learning the sales process and leveraging sales techniques consistent with company sales strategy.
  6. Oversees the development, implementation and maintenance of account level strategic plans and uses metrics to monitor progress against goals. Prioritizes and allocates resources to support customers and retain key regional accounts.
  7. Monitors and ensures sales team maintains account information in the customer relationship management (CRM) system. Reviews and analyzes data directing efforts as needed.
  8. Partners with national underwriting operations to compliment customer needs, expedite customer requests for programs and products and to effectively balance production and quality objectives.
  9. Collaborates and builds effective relationships with internal strategic partners to assist in the facilitation and program development according to customer needs.
  10. Keeps abreast of both national and local industry trends through networking, board and industry membership group participation and community involvement.
  11. Develops, manages and maintains departmental budgets.
  12. Manages staff to accomplish results through effective recruitment, selection, training, development, performance management and recognition.
Required Skills/Experience

  1. Excellent customer-focus orientation with the ability to develop and maintain customer relationships throughout the division and in conjunction with the sales team.
  2. Ability to achieve credibility, influence and respect with individuals both internally and externally, through excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  3. Experience in successfully managing and leading a high producing sales team.
  4. Extensive knowledge of mortgage lending and working knowledge of mortgage insurance.
  5. High achievement of sales goals and corporate initiatives through results-oriented strategies and outcomes.
  6. Adept negotiating skills and skillful conflict resolution capabilities.
  7. Experience in implementation of sales practices, strategies and tactics.
  8. High level of technical proficiency and ability to create and utilize tools available through the Microsoft Office suite of products
Desired Skills/Experience

  1. Familiarity/Understanding of secondary market.
  2. Familiarity and high level of comfort utilizing remote access tools and Salesforce.com.

Required Education & Experience:

  1. Required knowledge and skills would typically be acquired through a Bachelors degree and 7+ years related experience.
  2. Experience in loan sale aggregation and general knowledge of secondary marketing required.

Desired Education & Experience:

  1. School of Mortgage Banking (SOMB), AMP and/or CMB
Working Conditions/Environment & Physical Demands:
  1. Home based office. Up to 60-70% travel required.

Colorado Related Disclosures

  1. In accordance with Colorado law, the compensation for this position is $130,000.00 - $160,000.00/annually plus additional variable incentive compensation paid on a quarterly basis.
  2.
