Brokerage Distribution Business Development Leader

A recognized market leader in the individual life insurance industry, future-focused, and passionate about what they do and how we do it seeks a high energy sales & business development professional with a high level of digital IQ.

The Brokerage Distribution Business Development Leader’s primary focus is on sales growth, business development (including expansion into new distribution), and driving digital adoption. Focus on building strong customer relationships (both existing and new), developing and managing business/marketing plans, and providing guidance and coaching to the Business Development Managers.

Location: 100% remote in all areas of the country except for the Northeast.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Business Development: Identify, evaluate, and onboard new distribution relationships
• Work with BDMs to identify and implement opportunities within their assigned accounts
• Drive adoption of digital platforms by agencies and brokers
• Account Management: Manage with data by employing a purposeful approach driven by data analysis to improve account performance and profitability
• Regularly engage agency Principals, sales, underwriting, and operations staff
• Implement and manage incentive programs for agency staff and brokers to promote growth and encourage digital adoption

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of industry experience, with at least 3 years in a customer contact sales role (BGA preferred)
• Experience working with diverse distribution preferred (P&C, Health, Financial Institutions)
• In-depth knowledge of a broad range of life insurance products
• Strong ability to understand, analyze, and lead with data
• High level of “Digital IQ” with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced digital environment
• Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Compensation

$150,000 + 16% bonus potential
