The Vice President of National Sales sells to the Captive Market, identifying business opportunities and developing new client relationships.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Able to take a consultative approach to sales to fully understand a client's needs, and CorVel's suite of services
  • Collaborative in working through challenges and barriers to sales success
  • Become an SME of CorVel's services and offerings
  • Understands the market, including key competitors and how and why we are a better fit for our clients or potential clients
  • Ability to understand data and trends, and how to leverage those data/trends for cross-selling opportunities
  • Intelligence gathering of product trends and opportunities to capitalize on as CorVel's broadens our products offered.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to customer service
  • Presenting CorVel's services to prospective customers
  • Active in monthly sales strategy meeting with manager
  • Meet or exceed sales goals established by management for the marketplace
  • Responsible for entering all sales activity and opportunities in Salesforce – (minimum of 25 opportunities) and keeping the Salesforce data current
  • Prospect calls – Complete volume and quality of calls to garner sales expectations, documented in Salesforce
  • Prospect Meetings – volume and quality of calls to garner sales expectations, documented in Salesforce
  • Respond to Request for Proposals either independently for smaller RFP's or with assistance from the RFP Department
  • Exhibit, Network, move relationships along at conferences as approved by management

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Reliable professional with the ability to achieve balance between customer orientation and a results-driven approach
  • Thorough knowledge of CorVel's services and offerings
  • Business acumen, coupled with enthusiasm and decorum
  • Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to customer service.
  • Able to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Highly developed organizational abilities as well as time management skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications and CRM software (Salesforce)
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry, managed care or related field is helpful

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or sales and marketing preferred
  • Proven track record in sales
