National Sales Director
Our client has Retained The Carlisle Group to conduct a Search for a National Sales Director.
Seeking an energetic, self-motivated salesperson with insurance industry and/or medical claims management experience. The National Sales Director will turn existing contacts and new leads into new business. The individual will focus on lead generation, identify and pursue new opportunities with insurance companies, TPA’s and self-insured employers. This individual will be expected to meet and exceed sales goals. The position coordinates with the company's key stakeholders, operations team members and inside customer service representatives and provides data on all opportunities and accounts. The successful candidate will be entrepreneurial and have a “can do” attitude. We offer a base salary plus commission.
Requirements:
- At least five (5) years of sales and/or marketing experience in the insurance and/or medical management industry
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college is preferred
- Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability to drive sales
- Ability to penetrate “blue chip” accounts
- Understanding of the sales landscape in the assigned area
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing projects
- Manages sales cycle including RFP coordination, cold calling and strategic planning.
- Proactive, problem solver, and accountable to customers and company management
- Capable of building strong relationships with customers
- Insurance industry and regulatory knowledge
- Proficient with CRM database (i.e. SPIRO)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products including MS Outlook, Excel, Word
- Valid driver's license with acceptable clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
Responsibilities:
- Identify all potential sales opportunities to sell products through qualification of customer needs
- Maximize sales by leveraging existing contacts and generating new leads through networking opportunities
- Provide product information, quote pricing, and complete the necessary due diligence prior to a sale
- Develop generic and specific customer presentations and proposals, building on existing business
- Troubleshoot problems regarding customer products and handle issues through to resolution
- Develop marketing and expansion plans for growth of existing accounts
- Stay abreast of industry changes, new products, services, and other items of interest to customers
- Report customer contact and provide data regularly to company office for updating customer databases
- Attend industry conferences and events as necessary to educate prospects on product offerings
- Develops and executes annual sales objectives
- Coordinates with other departments, teams and individuals across company to ensure all tools and data are available to present to client/prospect
