Job Summary: Responsible for daily servicing of clients including new and renewal business processing and maintenance of exceptional customer relations with the client. Regularly interacts with new and existing clients as needed. Responsible for devising creative solutions to meet client needs as to coverage. Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment on accounts including but not limited to: interviewing clients; collecting and analyzing information regarding the client and assisting in product determinations; affecting, interpreting, and implementing various company policies with regard to the specific factual circumstances of each client. Reviews processed policies as needed; services clients in a timely manner; and, performs such other duties as are required to establish, service and maintain accounts.

Essential Functions/Activities:

• New business quoting, proposal, sales and development

• Account rounding and retention of existing clients

• Use experience, discretion and independent judgment to conceptualize and implement solutions to meet client needs

• Collect and analyze client information

• Regularly interacts with clients in a professional and timely manner

• Review processed policies as needed

• Participate in marketing and sales meetings

• Daily service to clients - endorsement requests, general coverage questions

• Manage and retain existing book of business

• Review and process renewals, new policies and policy changes

• Handle questions, research and resolve problems

• Adhere to agency customer service standards

Minimum Essential Requirements:

• Licensure:

        o Must possess state required insurance license; 4-40 or 2-20

• Education:

        o High School diploma or equivalent

        o Some college helpful

        o CPCU designation or CIC certification desirable

• Skills:

       o Strong organizational skills

       o Ability to multi task

       o Possess computer skills to include Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Industry Related Software – Applied/Epic

      o Possess strong customer service skills

Essential Mental Functions:

• Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

• Ability to talk to others to convey information effectively

• Ability to choose the right mathematical method or formula to solve a problem

• Ability to listen to and understand the information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences

• Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths, and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to a problem

• Ability to analyze and evaluate results to choose the best solutions and solve problems on complex issues

• Ability to assess the value, importance or quality of things or people

• Ability to pay attention to detail

• Ability to prioritize

• Ability to handle stress of short time constraints

Essential Physical Functions:

• Ability to occasionally lift at least 10lbs.

• Ability to sit/work at a computer for extended periods of time
