Job Description Summary

The Sales Operations Manager drives adoption levels of processes and best practices in the Personal Insurance field sales organization, as well as oversees the sales incentive programs. Represents Personal Insurance field sales on various work-groups as needed. This role may manage others.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

Drives Process and Best Practice Field Adoption Levels:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and rectify processes and / or behavioral gaps that inhibit driving higher adoption rate
  • Create, maintain and communicate various adoption level reports
  • Assist in developing and maintaining processes and best practices
  • Able to influence others to understand, follow and adjust behavior to improve results, efficiencies and effectiveness

Sales Incentive Programs related:

  • Manage the incentive award expense process
  • Manage incentive and recognition programs: e.g. agency sales contests, S.T.A.R. and SE / FSC recognition programs
  • Work closely with various partners regarding implementing new Sales Contest Vendor
  • Manage the relationship with Sales Contest Vendor
  • Manage the sunsetting of current Travelers Rewards Value Program (unredeemed balances)
  • Oversee Supplier Management Requirements for PI vendors such as SalesForce, Sales Contest Vendor, etc.
  • Manage responses to 1099 inquiries related to sales incentives. Conducts annual 1099 test file and year end file

Project related:

  • Act as business Lead for key projects with accountability for successful implementation and adoption on PI and Enterprise workgroups as assigned
  • Participate in Field Sales University Presentations and Home Office Roundtable discussions as needed
  • Participate in Inbound / Outbound Data Governance Team and other teams as assigned
  • Owner of a Shared Drive: approve access requests and SailPoint certifications
  • Consult with PI Field Sales, PI Operations and other stakeholders on various requests, inquiries and projects
  • Point of contact for business throughout and after project implementation as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or minimum of 3 years of relevant business or sales experience is required

Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Insurance and/or Financial Services industry
  • Demonstrated financial acumen required
  • Prior sales experience a plus
