Account Executive Preneed (Remote)

The Account Executive provides world-class service in the post-sale relationship with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for assigned clients. From supervising program implementations to maximizing account profitability and performance, your success will be measured by your ability to leverage Assurant resources to develop effective and profitable client solutions. The Account Executive is an integral part of maintaining and growing relationships within our existing footprint of clients.

The Details:

  • Execute on client strategy for each account
  • Act as primary point of contact and liaison between the business and client while incorporating knowledge of industry products, services, trends, etc. into day-to-day interactions
  • Collaborate with internal resources to meet the needs of the client (e.g. Actuarial, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Business Analysis & Technology)
  • Keep internal and external stakeholders informed of changes and updates on ongoing initiatives, strategies, business objectives, campaigns, shifting priorities and regulatory issues
  • Develop annual plan/goals in partnership with clients
  • Manage how the client executes sales and marketing strategies, including incentive campaigns and adjust action plans as needed based on results
  • Develop recommendations to keep execution of plans and strategies on target
  • Coordinate Business Reviews and ensures follow up on deliverables
  • Manage special projects and implementations
  • Develops and maintains tools to manage project timelines with client and internally

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • High School Diploma/ GED (Bachelors degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of direct sales, client management and business development experience
  • Superior organizational skills with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously
  • The ability to clearly articulate ideas both verbally and written; excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work with all levels in the organization
  • Proven intermediate skills with Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Ability to resolve complex problems and issues with little supervisory support
  • Accepts responsibility and is accountable for clients business objectives
  • Travel requirement 25%
