General Summary:
The Field Sales Manager is responsible for agency relationship management, attainment of growth & profit objectives, and the sustainability of a healthy distribution channel within an Indiana Territory. Collaborates with agency principals to develop individualized sales and marketing plans with the primary goal to achieve extraordinary customer experiences.
Trains agency staff on company's products and services, reviews financial statements, evaluates competitors and analyzes business practices in order to coach agency principals, producers and customer service representatives on proven tactics that support profitable growth. Develops and sustains strong relationships with agency personnel by demonstrating industry expertise, innovative ideas, accountability and facilitating change.
Minimum Qualifications:
- College Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Solid knowledge of independent agency system. Existing relationships in the territory preferred.
- CPCU or CIC Designation preferred.
- Technically savvy and able to clearly demonstrate a variety of technical services in front of small and medium sized audiences.
- A skilled presenter that is able to develop concepts and deliver meaningful presentations to agents.
- Excellent communications, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Able to present subjective reasoning in conjunction with analytical assessments.
- Self-starter and highly organized.
- Experience in managing and leading others and/or initiatives.
- Assertive and enthusiastic. Can work alone and with others to accomplish stated objectives.
