Highly rated, privately owned insurance organization with assets exceeding $1.5 billion. Provides comprehensive insurance solutions to the construction industry and seeks an Underwriting Professional with expertise within the construction class/segment.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Underwriter contributes to the success of the Construction team by delivering profitable and sustainable growth. This involves developing and managing a book of business (8-10 MIL range), marketing to independent agents and wholesalers and their insureds to win and retain quality accounts.
Skills & Experience
- 10 years+ Casualty lines underwriting experience (GL, Auto, WC and Excess essential; Property and IM experience a plus)

Minimum of 3 years construction class/segment experience

Knowledge/relationships with local producers/agents

Admitted lines background plus non-admitted/E&S experience a plus

High proficiency working in a variety of systems – Microsoft Office (Excel is a must), ImageRight (or similar document retention systems), and various software applications
Compensation & Perks
$100k to $130k target salary range. Company-provided laptop and cell phone.
