The Sales Coordinator will be an integral part of the support structure for the sales team. This person will serve as go to support person for new and existing producers, assist with user adoption of the agency management system, monitor data quality, and carry out administrative tasks. The role will include a mix of administrative and analyst tasks with the overarching goal of maximizing the overall effectiveness of the sales team.

Responsibilities of a Sales Coordinator

  • Assists with Sales related support and special projects
  • Handles incoming phone calls, takes messages, provides assistance including client interface and problem solving to callers or refers to appropriate personnel
  • Provides first-level, user-specific assistance with the use of the Agency Management System by keeping abreast of new system features and functionality related to sales, and creating customized reporting.
  • Helps to drive adoption of sales and marketing objectives
  • Detects emerging customer or market trends and help determine how the business can meet those opportunities and challenges to drive greater sales success
  • Prepare data files and upload data into the Agency Management System
  • Maintains and categorizes proposal response information
  • Create forms, documents, reports, mail merges, etc. as requested
  • Manages filing, storage and archive functions of unit
  • Performs other functions as directed

Requirements of a Sales Coordinator

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, finance, marketing or similar field or equivalent professional experience in a sales organization
  • Have the ability to work with little or no supervision, meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, provide recommendations and effectively communicate updates
  • Be a self-motivator and proactive in managing longer-term or ongoing administrative projects in balance with daily routine
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong PC skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software
  • Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail
  • Ability to navigate through technology
  • Very good analytical ability
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking ability
  • Courtesy, diplomacy and tact in dealing with others
  • Have the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Pass pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening
  • Reliable Transportation
