National Account Executive

Virtual MGA is in the business of providing a cloud-based transaction platform for facilitating the insurance underwriting process (rating, underwriting, proposal generation, policy and endorsement production and bdx delivery) between various insurance professionals.  Our clients are Managing General Agents (MGA’s) located across the US and Canada as well as brokers and syndicates at Lloyd’s of London.  Our business model is delivered as software as a service (SaaS).

Virtual MGA is looking for a person to serve as a National Account Executive.  This role will handle a limited number of existing national clients and will be the client advocate to make sure the clients’ needs are being met.  This is a senior level role and the service will in some cases be delivered with the assistance of an Account Manager.  Account Executive activities will include regular client communications, managing the change request process for production ticket items, creating annual account plans, requirements capture for any new functionality required, and overall analysis of client interaction with the VMGA platform to maximize utilization.  This position is located in our Austin, Texas location and is not a remote role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute detailed client road map account plans annually
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with national clients
  • Client retention and identify opportunities for additional sales
  • Lead and facilitate resolution of any client issues, changes or enhancements
  • Capture requirements for any enhancements or changes and drive them through delivery to client
  • Creating meeting agendas, coordinating implementation schedules, and creating annual client plans
  • Mentoring and training junior Account Managers
  • Assist clients with the on-boarding process

 

 

Preferred Qualifications & Experience for the position (some combination of the following):

  • 5 years of proven, successful experience in external account management (client facing)
  • 5 years in some form of client facing role or business leadership role
  • 3-5 years experience as an insurance underwriter, customer service representative or insurance company marketing representative
  • Basic knowledge of the Property & Casualty insurance market
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to interact with clients at all levels, Executive to Administrative
  • Strong client empathy characteristics
