Independent Agent Business Development Manager- Florida

  • Job Location: South / Central Florida

Lead your territory to new levels of excellence.  Recruit and close qualified agents through new and existing relationships, building a pool of diverse independent agents.  Lead the marketing plan and manage expenses to budget. This is a results focused position and the Manager of Business Development, is responsible for meeting all key metrics for their market. This position has unlimited upward potential, if you demonstrate excellence performance and leadership within your peer group.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Primary focus of this role is to recruit, onboard, motivate and develop new Independent Agent business partners

  • Manage your territory of independent business owners to accomplish company goals, while developing a long term positive partnership

  • Become a brand champion and consultant to the partners in your territory

  • Meet and exceed sales and profitability goals for your territory

  • Use strong underwriting techniques for success

  • Consult with business partners to improve and balance their business with Pronto

  • Coordinate closely with support staff and new agent recruiter to provide unparalleled support to your territory

  • Successfully meet all quota and distribution objectives

  • Develop and execute yearly plan to consistently reach established targets

  • Effectively plan on a daily, weekly, monthly/quarterly basis strategies designed to meet and support organizational objectives

  • Develop new business and maximize growth with existing business partners

  • Produce timely and relevant sales reports as required

  • Plan and execute regular sales calls to exceed performance goals

  • Travel within Florida 90% of the time to develop business and manage existing accounts

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Have a passion for sales and is a self motivated, results oriented leader

  • Prefer a minimum of 2 years Territory Management experience, preferably in non-standard auto insurance. Other sales experience will be considered, but must involve account management at the regional level.

  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills

  • Understands how to motive independent business owners to accomplish sales and profitability goals

  • Self-starter with good analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products

  • Knowledge of and comfortable with trade show participation

  • Key account management and proven success in territory sales management

  • Bilingual English & Spanish (preferred)
