Customer Service Representative - Property & Casualty - CSR

Cotten Coverage Insurance, voted "Best Insurance Agency on Long Island" for 6 years and "Best Boss on Long Island" for 2018 is searching for a Licensed Insurance CSR to join our team. In this role you will cross sell existing clients, process and follow-up on requested changes and updates to insurance policies, respond to billing and coverage inquiries, and conduct policy reviews on in-force policies. Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year customer service experience in the Insurance industry and an active Property & Casualty insurance license.

Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:

Job duties

· Process and follow-up on requested changes and updates to insurance policies

· Respond to billing and coverage inquiries, and proof of insurance requests

· Conduct policy reviews on in-force policies and advise on additional coverage’s and policies as needed

· Respond to underwriting information requests on in-force policies

· Stay informed of industry changes, changes in products/services, procedures, and policies

· Maintain up-to-date electronic customer files in compliance with agency and regulatory requirements

· Cross sell existing clients

Essential skills

· Minimum 1 years' customer service experience in the Insurance industry

· Active Property & Casualty insurance license required

· Positive attitude

· Good sense of humor
