The Training Center is responsible for delivering initial and on-going training to the sales force at Forest Lawn.  It is also responsible for equipping Planning Advisors with computers, phones and documentation required for them to conduct sales business on behalf of the Association.

•              Prepares regular documentation for use in the Training Center which includes: Training Manuals, Check Requests, Cemetery Licensing Applications, Live Scan Forms, Planning Advisor Agreements and other support materials.

•              Administers the Training Schedule for the Training Managers and Sales Trainers by creating sessions and notifying participants.

•              Coordinates and prepares each training session by allocating training rooms and ensuring that all necessary equipment and materials are ready and available.  

•              Participates and deputizes for the Training Manager or Sales Trainer during training sessions as required.

•              Capable of using smart phone technology including programming, downloading applications, navigation, and other trouble shooting techniques.

•              Ability to train and guide Planning Advisors to navigate through smart phone applications and Forest Lawn Advance Planning Gateway.

•              Develops a thorough understanding of the Forest Lawn Security Agreement program, property types and related Forest Lawn cemetery property forms.

•              Liaise between Planning Advisors and Forest Lawn Technical support regarding advisor equipment.   

•              Maintains records of each training course, the participants and their progress.

•              Prepares training certificates for those who attended the class.

•              Accurately maintains and updates the Planning Advisor photo collage and distributes monthly.

•              Maintains necessary office supplies and equipment, including but not limited to forms, brochures, documents, property and commodity contracts, pamphlets and stationery using appropriate requisition forms.

•              Orders and tracks delivery of equipment, including but not limited to mobile phones, computers, printers, business cards and polo shirts.

•              Troubleshoots and resolves basic computer and mobile phone issues for all planning advisors as required.

•              Coordinates the essential needs of the training department with other departments, such as Technical Services, Purchasing, Maintenance, Facilities, Memorial Counseling and Grounds. 

•              Answers and fields incoming calls.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

•              Type 30 wpm

•              Ability to speak in public

•              Excellent Customer Service

•              Ability to travel

•              Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of products..

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

•              HS Diploma/GED required

•              2 years of experience in customer service/clerical experience required.

•              Previous experience assisting in a training environment preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

•              Excellent written and oral communication skills
