Production Underwriter Coastal Property

About the Company:  An emerging specialty Managing General Agency and Wholesale Broker, this company is rapidly growing and wants to be an agent’s first choice for coastal property placement.  With a five-year plan to be operating in nearly one-third of the country, they seek an experienced Commercial Insurance Production Underwriter to develop new Coastal Property business along the Gulf South, including but not limited to, New Orleans (LA), Gulfport (MS) and Mobile (AL).

Large enough to offer marketing and service support but small enough to feel entrepreneurial, this is a boutique firm catering to coastal property risks in multiple classes of business- retail offices, mercantile, lessor’s risk, habitation and more. Essential Responsibilities of the Production Underwriter:

• Risk evaluation, selection and retention of new and existing business
• Review application, recommend appropriate premiums and coverage
• Foster positive, professional relationships with retail agencies; make field visits to agent and broker offices
• Monitor account performance include premium goals, quote-to-bind ratio and portfolio mix
