Marketing Executive needed for an awesome insurance brokerage firm in Woodland Hills, CA
Reports To:
Director of Marketing
Summary:
Provides support to Producers and Service Team in achieving business goals by the effect placement of all commercial lines of insurance for the best available terms, conditions and pricing. Compile and submit summaries of loss analysis, market selection, acceptable marketing submission, broker coverages and pricing and place commercial insurance property and casualty coverages primarily for the Risk Manager, Unit Maintain and nurture carrier partnership relationships. Responsible for assigning work to the client administrator and overseeing that the work is completed appropriately.
Responsibilities:
Analyzes and reviews accounts, researches markets and negotiates and obtains best coverage and pricing.
Handle the day-to-day marketing activities of the Unit.
Develops proposals for new & renewal business
Orders coverage, prepares binders & billing on new and renewal
Continually increases & demonstrates a working knowledge of new products, coverage’s, industry trends & changes, developing technology & innovative concepts in areas of expertise to stay abreast of the changing marketplace.
Understands & applies working knowledge of customer’s industry to market submissions.
Understands and applies loss control principles, identifies fee for service plans and rating on all lines of coverage, looking
for ways to decrease cost of risk while providing the broadest coverage’s
Serve as technical resource within that Team.
Verify information from Producers for accuracy and industry standards.
Analyze loss ratio for frequency and severity.
Determine appropriate submission providing customized format preferred by the carrier.
Develop specialty packages and maintain relationships with carriers and prospects.
Set priorities and manage workflow to ensure accurate and timely proposal generation.
Develop and maintain cordial relationships with carriers and stay current with changing market conditions.
Ensure that all carrier facilities are adequately used for marketing and quoting purposes.
Follow company E & O guidelines and policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Degree or equivalent job experience required.
Multi-state and foreign experience preferred.
Minimum of eight (8) years experience in commercial property and casualty insurance underwriting/ marketing handling accounts.
Both carrier underwriting and brokerage marketing experience are desirable
Strong technical coverage knowledge and good carrier relationships.
Active Property and Casualty license or be able to secure it immediately.
Outstanding analytical, presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
Requires ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, flexibility and must possess good organization skills.
Strong collaborative skills to build and maintain proactive involvement with staff and carriers.
Exceptional Customer service and organizational skills.
Program business management, underwriting and management are also desired.
PC proficiency required including MS Office in Word and Excel and carrier electronic underwriting facilities.
Knowledge of agency management systems preferred.
Professional designation such as CPCU or ARM desirable.
