Job Summary
Responsible for quoting, advising, selling, servicing and processing changes to auto insurance policies by phone or in person.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Sells and quotes insurance and related products to new and current customers by phone or in person.
- Run reports from various systems to verify accuracy of information provided by potential insureds regarding insurance and driving history prior to submitting the policy application for processing.
- Explain coverage and payment options to the customer.
- Complete sale by collecting premium payment via credit card, check or money order and process according to standard procedure. Prepare and make daily deposits following Daily Deposit procedures.
- Process customer requests for changes and collect monthly payments as needed.
- When appropriate, directs customers to a local closing center to finalize application and make a payment on the policy.
- Attend sales meetings, seminars or educational activities to stay current with market trends, regulations and maintain state licensing.
- Open, maintain and close office according to standard office operating procedures.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Experience/Skills Requirements
6 months to 1 year Auto Insurance, Sales or Customer Service Experience
Reasonably regular, reliable and predictable attendance and adherence to work schedule is required.
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
