PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Establish and execute product management and development.
  • Provide assistance with product regulatory compliance & filings.
  • Attend Farm Bureau and Industry conferences as necessary to remain aware of industry product innovations.
  • Assist Underwriting in development of underwriting manuals specific to product/state as needed..
  • Work closely with various Farm Bureau state sales management, agents, and brokerage to identify new product and product enhancements that improve FBAlliance competitiveness in the marketplace.
  •  Provide oversight of product regulatory compliance.
  • Communicate product introductions and changes to staff and various state Farm Bureau sales force.
  • Assist with technology based innovations for product delivery.
  • Plan and execute product information technology implementations
  • Work with FBAlliance staff to create business requirements for product and system development
  • Assist with development of product education media for agents, employees and customers of FBAlliance Insurance.
  • Train and develop agents through coordinated effort with various state Farm Bureau sales force(s), FBAlliance staff, and FOCUS staff.
  • Participate in state visitation programs focusing on new and unprofitable sales/underwriting activity.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, goals, and objectives.
  • Serve as Product Management representative on corporate teams and committees as needed.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Research and communicate emerging product information  and other product issues to staff and agency force.
  • All other duties assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years product experience
  • Experience with underwriting or product development

  • Proven management/leadership skills

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of insurance laws and regulations
  • Proven negotiation ability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

WORK LOCATION & ENVIRONMENT

  • This position is preferably located in either Schaumburg, Illinois or Gainesville, Florida.
  • Occasional travel to various Underwriting markets required
  • Occasional meetings at FBAlliance Schaumburg office required
  • Travel to industry conferences

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • CPCU designation strongly preferred
  • Self-motivated leadership
