Job Summary:
We are looking for an up and coming Digital Producer - eCommerce Business Analyst to oversee the management and optimization of a core Assurant international ecommerce web property. In this role, you will manage and oversee the development of our global website development roadmap, site structure, and hierarchy and ultimately manage the execution of site expansion into new regions. This role will report to the VP, Digital Performance and will work with a bright group of cross-functional marketing and digital development experts.

The position requires frequent interaction with multiple internal teams, external stakeholders and users to ensure requirements are accurately captured and the solution is optimized to meet their needs. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, who takes a positive and proactive approach to their work, and has a passion for business analysis, technology and user-centered design.

Primary Responsibilities:


Define Technical Roadmap 10%

  • Define and align site development roadmap with key business and marketing strategy and priorities
  • Understands target audience and works cross-functionally to define and integrate enhanced user journeys to the site
  • Research and identify industry trends and best practices that align with platform vision and the companys strategic and financial objectives
  • Facilitate innovation and responses to requests for product enhancements based on user research, analysis, and creative reviews

Strategy Execution & Collaboration 80%
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and understand business requirements for platform enhancements
  • Liaison with Regional and LOB key stakeholders to ensure site is integrated into marketing plans
  • Analyze, recommend, and deliver timely business solutions that include platform enhancements and custom integrations using technical specifications documents, wireframes, and mock-ups
  • Collaborate with UX, cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and business partners to facilitate optimal digital experiences and deliver business benefits
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria from gathered business requirements
  • Provide cross-functional support to facilitate the sales and marketing teams
  • Manage end-to-end platform regression testing team, including the development of user test cases
  • Manage internal QA testing sessions for new site implementations, including UI and functionality testing
  • Manage development backlog and facilitated prioritization of digital/marketing projects in relation to development roadmap.
  • Oversee all on-shore and off-shore development teams (digital agencies and vendors) on compliance to development standards for site delivers.
  • Develop and maintain full-scale project plans, project schedules, and all associated communications and tracking documents.
  • Work with the design, development, testing, and support teams to understand and develop use cases and translate them into clean and simple solutions.
  • Work closely with marketing counterparts to ensure campaign/site alignment
  • Partners with the Performance team to test site for usability, CRO and debug
  • Collaborate w/Digital Content, Communications, CRO & Social Business in execution alignment

Monitoring KPIs 10%
  • Track, report, and analyze site performance on a weekly/monthly/ yearly basis. Derive and apply actionable insights.
  • Help set, and work to, performance indicators for website that everyone understands and which complement overall marketing and business objectives
  • Works with technical teams to ensure the web servers, hardware and software are operating accurately.
  • Work closely with Data Analytics and internal stakeholders to implement web analytics and establish performance metrics and tracking at the local and LOB levels.
  • Analyze and compare performance against direct and non-direct competitors
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited university required, with an emphasis on technical disciplines preferred. Additional education beneficial
  • 5+ years of commercial ecommerce experience as a Business Analyst required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • At least 4 years as an ecommerce Digital Producer/ web manager
  • 2 years minimum working knowledge of CMS, specifically Big Commerce
  • 2 years minimum working knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript
  • Advanced experience in writing business requirement documents and functional specs, building business cases, and user stories required
  • Experience of working on international or remote project teams desired

Preferred Experience:
  • Degree is preferred in one of the following fields: business, marketing, technical or quantitative
  • Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles interaction design and accessibility
  • Proficient in user journey mapping and tracking
  • Excellent analytic capabilities, detail and process oriented, passionate about online marketing, sound business judgment.
  • Comfortable with building process from scratch
  • SEO, SEM, Content marketing experience a plus
  • Proven skills in organization, time management, and efficient execution of tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
