Job Description

Sales Director leads the Commercial Business channel to new levels of excellence.  This is a results focused position. The Sales Director of Commercial Business is responsible for meeting all key metrics, driving sales and profitability through innovative ideas and stronger carrier relationships. This position has unlimited upward potential, if you demonstrate excellence performance and leadership within your peer group. (Position is located in Brownsville, Texas, must be willing to relocate) 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Primary focus of this role is to strategically lead the division, in order to exceed revenue and income goals
  • Lead the Commercial Business channel as the strategic driver of the business. Provide leadership to the Commercial sales team to meet established objectives
  • Become the Commercial brand champion and consultant to partners inside and outside of the organization. Develop carrier partnerships to improve revenue opportunities
  • Successfully meet all quota and distribution objectives
  • Develop and execute yearly plan to consistently reach established targets
  • Effectively plan strategies designed to meet and support organizational objectives
  • Develop new business opportunities and maximize growth with existing business partners
  • Produce timely and relevant sales reports as required
  • Effectively work with cross functional teams to support Commercial sales
  • Lead the integration and daily management of the agency management software. Coordinate with accounting to ensure accuracy of data and timely accounting reconciliation.
  • Plan and execute regular sales calls to exceed performance goals
  • Lead the Commercial product offering lifecycle. Complete responsibility for the success of products in the field. This includes: Product launch, training, marketing, financial success and follow-up.

Skills & Experience:

  • Have a passion for sales and are a results oriented leader
  • BA/BS University degree, MBA preferred
  • Proven commercial sales leader with at least 5 years of senior level experience
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Understands how to motivate a team to accomplish sales and profitability goals
  • Self-starter with good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and GOOGLE product suite
  • Knowledge of and comfortable with trade show participation
  • Bilingual English & Spanish (preferred)
