Position Summary: The Manager, Financial Support (Sales) provides financial decision support to the assigned departments while promoting finance based ideas and insights with a complete view of the business.

The Manager, Financial Support (Sales) also partners with the Sales and Customer Development departments to ensure activities and initiatives align with Republic Services strategy while maintaining focus on bottom line results.

Exempt Status: Exempt Requisition ID: 31980BRPreferred Qualifications: Master s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

Minimum of 6 years of public (Big 4 or Tier II National) accounting experience.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Minimum of 1 year of experience in leading an External Reporting function that involves SEC disclosure and reporting, reconciliation and accounting research.

Prior experience working with Lawson and Essbase or similar general ledger systems, reporting tools and database tools.

Position Type: Full-Time Location: 04218: Phoenix-18500 N Allied Way Principal Responsibilities: Partners with assigned business leader(s) in order to assist with articulating and monitoring financial goals to meet departmental goals.

Provides financial analysis and support to assigned departments to include facilitating updates and reporting related to monthly results and periodic Board of Directors meetings.

Supports ongoing initiatives and helps develop metrics and tools to facilitate accountability.

Acts as the financial and accounting resource to assigned departments.

Presents and interprets various analyses for senior executives related to the impact of improvement opportunities.

Manages special projects requiring finance knowledge to ensure projects achieve overall objectives and meet expectations in terms of cost, scope and schedule, including development of business models.

Leads and supports reporting and tracking of assigned major initiatives including partnering with the IT organization.

Acts as liaison between assigned departments and Financial Analysis and Planning (FAP) team during month end and quarterly reporting to facilitate communication of summary and detailed variance commentary related to business and/or major initiative results.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (required).

Minimum of 4 years of varied financial experience (required).

Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certification.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) or similar advanced degree.

Familiarity with Lawson, Essbase and Business Intelligence reporting systems.

Ability to gain confidence from internal customers while maintaining an independent and objective perspective.

Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of strong accounting and finance professionals.

Advanced knowledge and experience in the application and audit of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), SEC financial reporting and applicable regulations.

Strong interpersonal and written communication skills for all levels of the Company, from staff and field personnel to executive management.

Strong organizational skills, ability to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Broad understanding of business dynamics including systems, personnel and business drivers.
