Customer Service Representative - Personal Lines

We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, professional, honest and reliable person, with strong phone and communication skills, for a full time customer service representative position in our independent insurance agency in Magnolia, Texas. The right candidate must be detail oriented, accountable, willing to multi-task and good at handling customer service requests for personal lines insurance customers. Our office can be fast paced at times. Must be interested in taking care of client requests, quoting new business, re-shopping policies as needed, following up with clients, working with renewal policies, and identifying and asking for cross selling opportunities on a daily basis.

We actively write insurance with a wide variety of companies and have a consultative environment. Experience with a variety of carriers in an independent insurance agency for surplus and admitted lines, brokerage business, wind coverage, flood coverage, comparative rating systems and agency management systems is important for this position. Limited commercial experience, including the ability to provide certificates of insurance is not necessary, but is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel is necessary as well as Adobe, electronic signature software and e-faxing.

Candidates must have an active Texas resident General Lines license for Property and Casualty. Life and Health licenses are a plus but are not required for this position. Also must have clean credit history and criminal background.

This position is hourly, with a regular 40 hour work week schedule Monday through Friday, 8:30 - 5:30 PM. Starting hourly rate will be determined based upon experience. We offer paid holidays, vacation and sick time and an incentive program for new business and cross selling activities.
