Phoenix House, the leading provider of addiction treatment services seeks a marketing guru with experience in the health insurance arena. Qualified candidates for this exciting opportunity will possess the know how and drive to create and implement marketing strategies and sales plans that will promote Phoenix House services and stimulate and maintain private insurance client referrals. Develop and maintain effective client relationships with current and prospective referral sources. S/He will interface at a detailed level with Managed Behavioral Health Organizations (MBHO) and clinical teams on treatment protocols, management strategies, quality of care matters, medical necessity issues, and opportunities for program issues/enhancements.
S/He will work to successfully expand Phoenix House market share outside of MBHO markets (e.g., Workers Compensation, Third Party Administrators, Military, Unions, direct to employers); review and manage insurance contracts, reports and census to effectively identify targets, project marketing needs, prepare action plans and initiate sales efforts.
Qualifications and Requirements: Exceptional analytical skills, Demonstrated excellent negotiation and persuasive skills. Ability to promote teamwork and cooperation with staff at all levels within the agency and with its partners; including health insurance companies. Highly organized, detail oriented and able to manage simultaneous priorities under pressure. Demonstrated leadership qualities: ability to motivate and lead people, extraordinary communication skills, both written and verbal. Exercise independent judgment and leadership, analyze situations accurately, take effective action, and exhibit follow-through. Demonstrated dedication to upholding the highest ethical standards. Demonstrated ability to craft and/ or contribute to marketing program content, collateral materials, messaging to MBHO’S. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills (communication and presentation skills) for marketing to MBHO management and clinical teams; responding to questions/complaints; and building trust.
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the concepts of providing outstanding customer care. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with appropriate documentation skills to complete reports, utilize data and communicate ideas constructively. Must be computer literate; demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications. A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing or related field and at least five years related experience are highly preferred.
